Job SatisfactionI have always enjoyed a challenge. My wife christened me shelf man because every room had one of my projects. Shelves...... I was always handy and would go down to the local hardware store and buy the shelf packs and put them up. Over the years I became slightly more ambitious, and my projects grew in size and complexity. They range from simple store bought shelves to full shelving units incorporating Desks and TV cabinets. All it takes is practice and determination. (Oh and power tools.) Cupboards too..... I didn't stop at shelves I also made cupboards to store all those thing that never seem to have a place to go . I think this looks quite good. Imagination..... Sometimes its more practical to incorporate furniture from a well known retailer into a project. These NORDLI units I embedded in the dry wall of my attic generate masses of storage space at no cost to living space and look amazing. All it takes is imagination and determination. (and in this case a lot of crawling around in a confined space with insulation) Recycle.... I try to recycle my old projects into new ideas mostly for the room outside. We recently replaced the deck with a patio and converted some of the timber into planters, including a massive vegetable planter. A little creativity and you have a beautiful space to enjoy. I found out a long time ago that with determination, effort and patience you can achieve so much more than you thought possible.
